Huntsman Building Solutions introduces D-Max Wall

Huntsman Building Solutions, a global leader in high-performance, sustainable building envelope solutions, introduces D-Max Wall, a new assembly and solution to address thermal bridging, which allows spray polyurethane foam insulation to be installed from the interior while managing thermal bridging of the studs and structure. The assembly utilizes its Heatlok HFO closed cell spray foam insulation, providing three key functions: insulation, air barrier and vapor barrier in a single product application. D-Max Wall also eliminates construction delays and costs caused by inclement weather conditions.

The D-Max Wall assembly is NFPA 285 compliant for high-rise construction. It increases onsite productivity, optimizes work sequencing and can increase the interior square footage of the building. The assembly also eliminates the need for multiple products like an additional vapor barrier, replacing three products with only one.

The D-Max Wall assembly is UL listed with the UL EW25 assembly. The product is also Greenguard Gold certified, demonstrating it is a low VOC emission solution, ensuring better indoor air quality. Additional certifications and designations include ASTM E96 Water Vapor Permeance; ASTM E2178 Air Permeance; Firestop certification by Hilti, 3M and STI; LEED V4: EPD-HPD-ACV; UES Evaluation 565.
